Terms of Use for Slaide

These terms cover three things:

• this website, getslaide.com
• the open-source Slaide software
• Slaide Cloud: the paid and signed-in services. That is Slaide Hosted at app.getslaide.com, the cloud features of the Slaide app for iPhone and iPad, and Slaide for Confluence and Jira.

AIVory, Inc. provides Slaide Cloud. When you use Slaide Cloud, you agree to these terms.

This website

getslaide.com is provided as-is, for information and documentation. We try to keep it accurate, but we make no promise that it is complete or up to date.

The open-source software

Slaide is open-source software under the Apache License, Version 2.0. That license governs how you use, change and share Slaide, including its grant of rights and its disclaimer of warranty and liability. The full text ships with the source and is in the project repository.

In short: you can use Slaide freely, also for commercial work. You keep your decks. The software comes without any warranty.

Slaide Cloud

Your account

Most Slaide Cloud features need an account. Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.

Your content stays yours

You own the decks, text, images and files that you put into Slaide Cloud. You give us the right to store and process them only to run the service for you. This includes sending them to our AI model providers to build your deck. The privacy page lists what we store and who handles it.

What the AI makes

You can use the decks that the AI makes for you as you like. The AI can make mistakes, so check a deck before you use it. You are responsible for what you present.

Fair use

Don’t use Slaide Cloud to break the law, to infringe the rights of others, or to make content that harms people. Don’t attack or overload the service, and don’t try to get around plan limits. We can suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Plans and payment

• Each plan says what it includes, for example a number of AI decks.
• The free trial gives one free AI deck, once per account and once per device.
• In the iPhone and iPad app, you buy through Apple. Apple’s terms apply to the payment, the renewal and refunds. Cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings.
• On app.getslaide.com, you pay through Stripe. You can cancel at any time.
• Slaide for Confluence and Jira is sold through the Atlassian Marketplace. The Marketplace terms and the license on the app’s listing apply.

End your account

You can delete your account at any time. The privacy page explains how, and what we keep. We can end your access if you break these terms.

No warranty

We work to keep Slaide Cloud running and your data safe. But we provide the service as-is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Trademarks

“Slaide” and the Slaide logo are marks of the project. The Apache-2.0 license covers the code, not the marks.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms when Slaide changes. The date below shows the last change.
