Privacy at Slaide

This page says what each part of Slaide stores, where we keep it, and how you delete it. Slaide is made by AIVory, Inc. For privacy questions, write to [email protected].

The short version

• We don’t sell your data.
• We don’t show ads.
• The website and the apps have no analytics and no ad trackers.
• We don’t keep your voice recordings. We keep only the text.

This website

getslaide.com is a static website. You don’t sign in, and we don’t run analytics or set tracking cookies.

Our host may keep standard request logs (IP address, browser, requested page) for security and traffic totals. We don’t use them to identify you.

One blog post shows a TikTok video. When that video loads, TikTok may set its own cookies.

The free tools

The Slaide CLI, viewer and libraries run on your own machine. Decks you write, build or export stay local unless you publish or share them. The tools don’t phone home.

The Slaide app for iPhone, iPad and Android

Without an account

You can make, edit, present and share decks with no account. Your decks stay in the app’s folder on your device. The app also works in flight mode.

When you sign in

Some features run on our servers, so they need an account:

• PowerPoint import, and export to PowerPoint or PDF. The file goes to our servers for the conversion.
• AI deck building. Your request, your deck and the files you add go to our servers and to the AI model providers below. The app asks for your consent before the first use.
• The speaking coach with speech-to-text. The app sends a recording of your talk to our servers. We turn it into text and then drop the audio. In timing-only mode, no audio leaves your device.
• Sync. While you are signed in, the app syncs your decks to your account, so they show on your other devices.

For a signed-in account, we store:

• your email address and your name
• your decks and their earlier versions
• the images and files you add
• your AI chats
• your coach results: the text of your talk and the timing figures
• your purchases: the plan and a transaction reference (Apple or Google Play handles the payment, so we never see your card)
• the reports you send about AI replies, with the reply you report
• a device ID for the free trial, stored only as a salted hash, so each device gets one free trial

The app keeps your sign-in in the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore on your device. If you buy a plan without an account, we make an anonymous account for that device.

The app doesn’t track you across apps or websites, so it never asks for tracking permission.

Slaide Hosted (app.getslaide.com)

Slaide Hosted runs in your browser and needs an account. We store the same data as for a signed-in app account:

• your email address and your name
• your decks and their earlier versions
• the images and files you upload
• your AI chats and the text of what you dictate (we drop the audio after we turn it into text)
• your purchases: Stripe handles the payment, and we store the Stripe customer and subscription references (we never see your card)

Your browser keeps a cookie that keeps you signed in. It also keeps a device ID for the free trial and a cache of your images.

Share links. Share makes a link to a deck. Anyone with the link can view the deck, but cannot edit it. We count how often a link opens. A link doesn’t expire. You can turn it off at any time.

Slaide for Confluence and Jira

Slaide reads pages and issues as the person who builds the deck. It reads only what that person can see. A deck opens only for people who can read its source page or issue.

These data leave Atlassian and go to Slaide Cloud:

• the site URL
• the Atlassian account ID of the person who builds the deck
• the text and images of the pages and issues that person picks, including the names of people who show in them
• the deck and its source list (page IDs and versions, issue keys and update times, the JQL search)
• the company theme

The app keeps its settings, and the links between decks and pages or issues, in Atlassian’s app storage. Because data leaves Atlassian, the app doesn’t carry the “Runs on Atlassian” badge.

When you uninstall the app, the licence ends at once. The decks stay, so a reinstall finds them again. Ask us to delete them, and we do it within 30 days.

Where we keep your data

Slaide Cloud runs in Hetzner Online GmbH data centres in Ashburn, Virginia (USA), and its database runs on Microsoft Azure in the USA. This includes app.getslaide.com, the servers the mobile app talks to, and our sign-in service.

• Data travels encrypted (TLS 1.2 or higher).
• Data rests on encrypted disks.
• Our request logs don’t contain your deck, page or chat content.

Who else handles your data

We use these companies to run Slaide Cloud:

The AI model providers get only the content that a task needs. Slaide Cloud and most of these providers are in the USA, so your content is stored and processed in the USA.

How long we keep data, and how to delete it

• We keep your decks, images, chats and coach results until you delete them or your account.
• You can delete a deck at any time.
• To delete your account in the app (iPhone, iPad or Android), go to Settings > Delete account. Without the app, follow Delete your Slaide account. This deletes your account, your organization and all your cloud data. For other products, write to [email protected].
• After an account deletion, we keep purchase and trial records with the personal link removed. We need them for refunds and to stop trial abuse.
• An account deletion cancels a Stripe subscription. It can’t cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription. Cancel that in your Apple ID settings or in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions.
• Working copies that our servers make to render a deck are deleted after 30 minutes.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete your personal data. You can also object to how we use it. Write to [email protected]. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Pages link to other sites, such as GitHub and GitLab. Their own privacy policies apply there.
